The University at Albany Police Department (UPD) is asking anyone who may have been in the area of Hudson Avenue early Sunday morning for information following a fatal shooting.

According to a campus-wide email sent by the department Sunday, anyone in the campus community who might have information about the incident should report it to the Albany Police Department’s Detective Division at 518-462-8039 or submit an anonymous tip to www.capitalregioncrimestoppers.com.

The incident took place around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4 near Hudson Avenue and Partridge Street, according to the Albany Police Department and previously reported by the Times Union. Police say that a 15-year-old was pronounced dead and three other victims, all teenagers, were found with gunshot wounds at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Videos circulating on social media showed large crowds of people on Hudson Avenue over the weekend.
