Lucienne Burns

Hi all, my name is Lucienne, but most know me around campus as Lucie. I am a senior at the University at Albany with majors in journalism and political science. I have been writing for the ASP since the fall of 2024 when I transferred here. I previously worked as News Editor for the Saint Rose Chronicle. At the ASP, I cover issues on campus and the Student Association Senate. Outside of the newspaper, I enjoy going on walks, reading, crafting, listening to music, and hanging out with my friends and family. Hey, my name is Sofia and I’m from Brooklyn, NY. I am a senior at the University at Albany, majoring in political science. I have been writing for the student press under my own column “Threads and Tales by Sofia,” since my freshman year. Outside of writing for the ASP, I enjoy going to the gym, playing basketball, baking, making clothes, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Hello, Everyone my name is Carter Schum and am a junior at UAlbany majoring in political science with minors in international studies and communications. I have been writing for the ASP since my first semester freshman year. I love to cover all things UAlbany sports and am passionate about following all of our teams, all year round. I also have an interest in sports history and am always open for a conversation. Some of my hobbies include video games, going on walks and learning languages!
