This past week saw the following results for University at Albany sports:

Tuesday, February 10th
Women’s lacrosse opened their season with a 9-6 victory over the Holy Cross Crusaders. Kloey Roos led the way, scoring four goals. Ravan Marsell tallied a team high six points (1G, 5A). Grace Cincebox made 11 saves in net.
Friday, February 13th
Softball opened their season with a double header in Clinton, South Carolina.
In game one, The Great Danes bested the Mercyhurst Lakers 6-0. Taylor Quinn went 3-for-3 at the plate. Vanessa Meyers tacked on three RBIs. Hayley Wieczerzak put in a solid performance, pitching five innings and striking out seven batters.
In game two, The Great Danes fell to the ETSU Buccaneers by a score of 8-7. Mary Kate Murrary went 2-for-3 at the plate. Five players tallied multiple hits. Deanna Grahek had three RBIs, while Sara Anderson had two. Hailey Errichelo started at pitcher, and went 3.2 innings.
Saturday, February 14th
Women’s basketball recorded a win over the Binghamton Bearcats 52-41. Julia Palomo Vicente topped the scoring charts with 13 points, while also grabbing four rebounds. Delanie Hill was the other Great Dane to score in double figures, with 11 points. Bella Sturat finished with a team high of five rebounds.
Men’s basketball beat the Binghamton Bearcats 77-74. Amir Lindsey led the way with 23 points and four assists. Jaden Kempson tallied a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds along with a team high of five assists. Tarique Foster, Issac Abidde and Okechukwu Okeke all finished with 10 plus points.
Men’s Lacrosse was narrowly defeated 11-10 by the Cornell Big Red. Ryan Doherty and Jackson Palumb each recorded four goals and one assist. Silas Richmond and Brendan O’Keffe each had two assists. Brady Smith made seven saves in net.
Softball dropped a pair of games at the Scotsman Invitational in Clinton, South Carolina.
In game one, the Great Danes fell to ETSU 8-7. Mary Kate Murrary hit a solo home run. Deanna Grahek tallied three RBIs while Sara Anderson notched two. Seven different players tallied hits. Hailey Errichiello pitched 3.2 innings, giving five runs (three of which were earned) while striking out three.
In game two, Presbyterian College bested UAlbany 1-0. Katie Parisi accounted for two of the three Great Dane hits. Charlotte Lomb was the other Great Dane to record a hit. Hailey Errichiello surrendered five hits while recording a pair of strikeouts.
Sunday, February 15th
Women’s lacrosse fell to the Stony Brook Seawolves 15-6. Mya Caroll recorded a team high of three points on one goal and two assists. Paisley Cook and Amanda Williamson each scored two goals. Grace Cincebox made eight saves in goal.
