This past week saw the following results for University at Albany sports:

Women’s volleyball earned a dominant 3-0 victory on Friday night over the New Hampshire Wildcats (10/24).Â

Tuesday, October 21
Women’s golf emerged victorious at the Le Moyne College Invitational. The Great Danes stormed into a 14 stroke lead on Monday in the first round, and while their lead was cut in two, they held on to take the win in the final event of their season. Lucia Esteban finished as UAlbany's top golfer finishing at +15. Other notable finishers include Mia Cepeda at +23 and Callie Taylor at +22.Â
Men’s soccer played to a 1-1 draw against the Northeastern Huskies. Breckin Fett scored his first collegiate goal. Jordan Shullenberger and David Barkan each recorded 2 shots. In total, the Great Danes outshot the Huskies 11-10. Alexander Genz made five saves in net.Â
Women’s soccer fell 3-0 to the Dartmouth Big Green. Brielle Fitzpatrick led the Great Danes in shots with 2. Dartmouth outshot UAlbany 21-4. In net, Claudia Volino recorded 7 saves. The Big Green committed 8 fouls while the Great Danes committed 4.
Friday, October 24thÂ
Field Hockey fell 3-0 to the New Hampshire Wildcats. Mara Küskes led the Great Danes in shots with 5. Tessa Overgoor recorded 4 shots of her own. In total, the Great Danes outshot the Wildcats 17-15. Emma Peeters made 5 saves in net.Â
Women’s Volleyball defeated the New Hampshire Wildcats 3-0 in straight sets. Kendall Harris led the way for UAlbany with 11 kills, 10 digs and 2 blocks. Shynelle Woroniuk contributed 12 kills, 6 digs and a pair of aces. Maria Olga Siapani recorded an impressive 37 assists. Kasia Barletta was solid on defense and tallied 8 digs.Â
Saturday, October 25thÂ
Rowing competed at the Head of the Fish Regatta. The Women's 8+ squad came in 8th place out of the 13 squads. The 2v 8+ squad came home in 13th out of 17 starters. The women’s collegiate 4+ A squad came in 8th place, while the B squad recorded a 32 place effort. In the Novice 8+, the A squad finished 7th while the B squad came in 12th.Â
Football was bested by the Villanova Wildcats 29-16. Jack Shields finished 11-26 passing with 102 yards and a touchdown. Griffin Woodell recorded 8 carries for 32 yards. Carter Moses tallied 3 receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Aiden Semo also recorded a rushing touchdown. On defense, Dillon Dunathan led the way with 7 total tackles. Balansama Kamara recorded 3.5 tackles for loss.Â
Men’s soccer notched a 2-0 win over the Binghamton Bearcats. Alexander Clive and Caleb Vallance each scored goals for the Great Danes. UAlbany recorded 14 total shots, while Binghamton had 7. In net, Andrej Krivokapic made 3 saves.Â
Sunday, October 26thÂ
Field Hockey earned a senior day victory as they downed the Stonehill Skyhawks 2-1. Mara Küskes tallied both of the goals, and Pilar Lorenzini added an assist. The Great Danes outshot the Skyhawks 21-7.Â
Women’s Soccer fell to the Umass Lowell Riverhawks 3-1. Tamia Nelson scored the lone goal of the afternoon for the Great Danes. Claudia Volino made four total saves in net. The Great Danes took 9 shots in the game.Â
Volleyball beat the Bryant Bulldogs in comeback fashion 3-2. After dropping the first 2 sets, The Great Danes won 3 in a row to score a crucial conference win. Kendall Hariss led the way with 12 kills, 6 blocks and 2 aces. Shynelle Woroniuk added 13 kills and 16 digs. Maria Olga Siapani tallied 41 assists and Brooke Malek finished with 17 digs.
