This past week saw the following results for University at Albany sports:

Amir Lindsey recorded 16 points in the first game of the Northern Classic on Friday (11/28).

Wednesday, November 26
Women’s Basketball defeated the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Engineers 96-43. Amaya Stewart topped the scoring charts with 22 points on 10-12 shooting while also getting seven rebounds. Martina Borellas recorded her second double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Delanie Hill and Lara Langermann were the other Great Danes to score double digits with 14 and 13 points respectively. In total, UAlbany recorded an impressive 68 points in the paint while holding RPI to just 12.
Friday, November 28
Men’s Basketball dropped a close game 69-67 to the Colgate Raiders in its first game of the North Classic in Laval, Quebec. Amir Lindsey led in points with 16 while adding five of each assists and rebounds. Okechukwu Okeke had 15 points, three rebounds and a block. Zacharie Matulu was the other Great Dane to get into double figures with 11 points.
Saturday, November 29
Men’s Basketball fell in their second game at the Northern Classic to the Fordham Rams by a score of 88-68. Isaac Abidde and Jaden Kempson tied for the team lead in points with 15. Nasir Muhammad was not far behind with 14 points. Zacharie Matulu led the Great Danes in rebounds with 10. In total, UAlbany shot just 26-70 from the field.
Sunday, November 30
Men’s Basketball defeated the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons 90-62 in its final game of the Northern Classic. Okechukwu Okeke led the way with 17 points, 12 rebounds and two assists. Amir Lindsey and Nasir Muhammad each recorded 16 points. Issac Abidde also got into double figures with 14 points.
