This past week saw the following results for University at Albany sports:

Monday, January 19th

Men’s Basketball defeated the Vermont Catamounts 75-68. Amir Lindsey recorded an impressive 24 points and 4 assists, while playing all 40 minutes. Issac Abide and Abdoulaye Fall each recorded 16 points. Zacharie Matulu led in rebounds with 13.  


Thursday, January 22nd 

Men’s Basketball fell to the Maine Black Bears 52-49. Abdoulaye Fall led the scoring with 16 points. Zacharie Matulu led in rebounds with 9 while also notching 8 points. Amir Lindsey topped the assist chart with 5. 


Women’s Basketball dropped a close game to the Maine Black Bears, 65-60. Amaya Stewart recorded an even 20 points to lead the Great Danes. Martina Borellas tallied 15 points while also leading in rebounds with 9. 


Saturday, January 24th

Men’s Basketball was bested by the New Hampshire Wildcats 80-72. Miles Rose had 20 points for the Great Danes on 8-14 shooting. Amir Lindsey recorded 16 points and was a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line. Okechukwu Okeke grabbed a team high of 6 rebounds. 


Women’s Basketball was topped by the New Hampshire Wildcats 56-51. Delanie Hill and Amaya Stewart recorded 15 and 14 points respectively to lead the way. Gabreila Falcao had a strong game defensively, nabbing 9 rebounds and recording a block. The team recorded 11 total assists during the game.
